Webster Takes Office as AJS President

Peter D. Webster began a one-year term as President of the American Judicature Society (AJS) at the organization’s annual meeting held earlier this month in Toronto. Webster is a shareholder in the Tallahassee, Florida, office of Carlton Fields.

Advocating Integrity in American Justice
The American Judicature Society's Board of Directors and staff recently approved a new logo, positioning statement and elevator speech as part of the organization’s re-branding effort. AJS partnered with Des Moines, Iowa-based marketing communications agency, Love Scott MISSION ASSIST, on the branding process in preparation for AJS’s upcoming centennial celebration.  (Read more.)

2011 Annual Meeting Highlights
The AJS Board of Directors and membership met in Toronto, Ontario on August 4 for the 2011 Annual Meeting.  Among many important business items on the agenda were the election of Officers and Directors, discussion of ABA House of Delegates resolutions, and planning for the upcoming AJS Centennial year.
