Amicus brief
The American Judicature Society seldom files or joins amicus
briefs but will do so when the Society may be able to
present arguments more effectively than the parties on
positions previously approved by the Board of Directors or
the Executive Committee. A request to file or join an amicus
brief can only be considered if there is sufficient time for
the Society to obtain outside, pro bono counsel and to
comply with the approval and review process. Inquiries about
amicus briefs may be made to the staff liaison at
cgray@ajs.org.
