AJS Midyear Meeting Program, co-sponsored with the ABA

At its Midyear Meeting in Los Angeles in early February, AJS co-sponsored a program with the ABA Judicial Division’s National Conference of Federal Trial Judges entitled “Stranger In A Strange Land: Cross-Cultural Issues in the Courts.” The program focused on the many ways in which, in a nation of immigrants, customs and other cultural issues are increasingly finding their way into the U.S. justice system. Featuring a panel of national experts, the program highlighted issues that judges and lawyers need to be aware of and understand in order to improve the administration of justice for all.
